Development of VET language teachers' competences in intercultural training.
The aim of the project is to form an international partnership in order to improve language teachers' competencies in intercultural training within language education in VET in order to enhance employability of VET students and prepare them to work in a multicultural environment. This project will address the need for a greater understanding of specific linguistic, social and intercultural needs in VET language education related to employment.
The partnership will explore and evaluate different aspects of intercultural training in VET language education in participating countries and then will research whether and how the identified best practices can be implemented on a transnational scale, taking into account the educational and cultural differences in the partner countries. The project will also seek to provide an innovative language teacher training approach by integrating e-learning mode into teacher professional development. The output will be a professional development framework for VET language teachers providing them with a methodology for VET students' intercultural training. The partnership will adapt and test materials in their national contexts.
